We are a Local Authority Nursery School, working closely with the Children's Centre in the same building. Both the nursery school (December 2013) and the Day Care (February 2015) were graded as Outstanding following OFSTED inspections.
The nursery is managed by the Nursery Governing Body and Head teacher and is staffed by Qualified Teachers with QTS, Teaching Assistants, Nursery Officers, Play-workers and support staff.
We offer free Nursery School education for children with a mixture of part time and full time places, normally from the start of the term following their third birthday, if a space is available. Children may be offered a full time place if they fulfil Local Authority criteria. Free Nursery Places (2-3 year olds) are allocated according to the Local Authority admissions policy and may be full or part time.
In addition we are able to offer fee paying places for younger children, and extended provision (morning, evening and holidays) for children in the nursery school.
The nursery has a variety of spaces for children and an extensive outside area. We aim to provide a welcoming and caring environment where children can explore, learn and develop. We plan a range of experiences which support children to become confident and motivated learners. We work in partnership with parents encouraging their involvement in nursery life. All children are valued equally and we encourage children to have caring attitudes to each other.
